Catching the "daylight" saving the time

DST5I never gave that much thought to Daylight Savings Time. Sure, I would set my clocks forward or backwards, as instructed. But I never wanted to see it in action until this fall.

I usually make sure the most important clock, my alarm clock, is changed before I go to bed. Especially if I have to work the day after, like I do on Sunday, November 3rd. If I don’t have to work the next day, then I really don’t care. I’ll just change all clocks whenever I get up.

And it is such a hassle to change all of my clocks! I have to manually change the 2 alarm clocks, my gas stove clock and the microwave clock. Sorry, no microwave popcorn 502px-Daylight_savingsunless you change the microwave clock, or it will go on strike and refuse to work 😦

Thank goodness I don’t need to change the clocks on my iPhone, iPad and computers, woo hoo for auto changing time.

I am a novice at Daylight Savings Time, I would need to wiki it again to remind myself why we do this. I guess I always assumed that it happened at 12 midnight. But found out today that it happens at 2:00 AM.

So I plan to stay up until 2:00 AM to watch the time change "magically" on my TV and iPhone. The best thing about DST is that I get a free hour of sleep.

The magic did happen at 1:59, the TV clock showed 1:59 then 1:00. I have the iHome alarm clock, so I only needed to undock then redock my iPod Touch to make the time change to 1:00. I won’t worry about the stupid microwave clock, oven clock and mantle clock until tomorrow. Come to think about it, I mighty be lazy and let the mantle be like Arizona time, cuz it’s too heavy to lift, lol.
